Danny Murphy praised Moises Caicedo’s versatility at right-back and supported Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to sign the Brighton and Hove Albion player.

Trent Alexander-Arnold‘s performances for Liverpool this season, particularly his defensive showing, generated a lot of discussion when Murphy allegedly said the two might switch roles if they played together.

Murphy told FIVE that Moises Caicedo‘suits’ his previous team and that the Reds have already signed Alexis Mac Allister to their roster this summer.

The 21-year-old was just one of several outstanding players for a Brighton squad that this season earned European football for the first time in the club’s history.

Arsenal was eager to sign the hard-hitting midfielder in January, but each of their offers was turned down, which may have changed the situation for him.

Given that Murphy discussed Caicedo and how much he may cost, it is very obvious that Liverpool won’t spend a lot of money on a single player; otherwise, they would have signed Jude Bellingham, a player who is now playing for Real Madrid.

“With Caicedo, who I think you would get for a little less (than Rice),” Murphy remarked. “I am aware that they rejected ‘x’ amount from Arsenal during the season.”I believe Caicedo would cost a little less (about £80 million). On Brighton turning down £70 million from Arsenal in the winter, though, it was because it was January. The contract for Caicedo will have a condition.
“With Caicedo, I believe he would fit Liverpool because of the way Trent is developing into this center midfield position; by the way, have you seen Caicedo play right-back? He has both skills.

He possesses the physicality that Klopp like, and another quality I like about the two choices I mentioned is that they can succeed in the Premier League. They can settle in without waiting for that year.

What is the price of Caicedo?
Will Liverpool strike it fortunate again after previously knocking on Brighton’s door and buying a World Cup champion for £35 million?

The Amex Stadium has every right to raise the price for Caicedo given that there are rumors that Declan Rice may be joining Arsenal for £100 million.

Although it wouldn’t be a surprise if Klopp is a huge fan of the physical midfielder, it’s possible that he will be outbid in this situation.
