Coventry City is expected to sign a loan agreement with Rangers, the Scottish powerhouse.

According to reports, Rangers attacker Rabbi Matondo will join Coventry City on loan for the second half of the 2024–2025 campaign.


The 24-year-old winger, who can play as a second striker or on the right, has only made six appearances in the Scottish Premier this season under boss and former Sky Blues midfielder Philippe Clement.




During that time, he has produced two goals and two assists. This term, a hamstring ailment has also hindered his progress.


The player may sign a contract that includes an initial loan and a summer buyout option worth about £2 million.

Although the midfielder has been linked to Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday this month, CoventryLive has been informed by sources north of the border that Matondo will be Frank Lampard’s first acquisition.
