City or Liverpool: Fabrizio Romano says which team is most likely to recruit Josko Gvardiol.

It has now been revealed if Manchester City or Liverpool stand a stronger chance of landing Josko Gvardiol.

This is according to Fabrizio Romano, who was speaking to GiveMeSport regarding the future of the RB Leipzig defender after it was reported that he plans to join Pep Guardiola‘s side.

With both Manchester City and Liverpool reportedly trying to strengthen their defenses, it has become clear which team is more likely to pursue Josko Gvardiol.

Fabrizio Romano decides whether Manchester or Liverpool is more likely to sign Josko Gvardiol.
As Aymeric Laporte appears set to depart the Etihad Stadium, the Sky Blues have identified the Croatian defender as a possible replacement.

While at Anfield, defensive troubles have become the norm, highlighting the necessity for an upgrade like him at the back.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City appear to be more likely than Liverpool to sign Josko Gvardiol at the moment.

Leipzig are not even willing to accept €80 million (£68.2 million) for Gvardiol, so I believe it will be closer to €100 million (£89.4 million), and I see Man City being in a better position to sign him, but only if they are willing to spend that money.” Otherwise, the player may remain in Leipzig for another season.”

It’s hardly unexpected that Manchester City is outperforming Liverpool.
While Liverpool moved from chasing a quadruple to ending in the Europa League, Manchester City won the triple, which would be a clear factor for Josko Gvardiol to consider if asked to choose between the two clubs as his future destination.

Many will point to City’s financial clout over the Reds, but the reality is that the former also set a fee cap to pay transfer targets rather than simply pouring the cash.

At the end of the day, although the Premier League winners are likely to extend their reign as English football’s dominant power, the Merseyside-based club appears to be a long way from returning to their peak.
