Chicago Bulls Player Made NBA History vs Philadelphia 76ers

The Chicago Bulls appear to be intent on doing it their way rather than losing games in order to boost their chances of landing the No. 1 draft pick and chasing the signature of Cooper Flagg. The Bulls were on a six-game losing streak before making a stunning return to winning ways against the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center. The Bulls defeated the Sixers by a margin of 32 points, 142-110. Josh Giddey was sensational once again and set both franchise and NBA records on the night.

Giddey had 17 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks, and 1 steal in the first half. 17 In the process, he became the only NBA player in the PxP era (since 1996-97) to record such minimums in a half.

Giddey finished the game with 25 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists with 100% accuracy in three-pointers while going 8-11 from the field. An incredible performance from the guard.

Giddey has been pulling the strings for the Bulls lately, putting up his third consecutive double-double while not scoring less than 24 points in any of those games. Giddey’s recent performances certainly give the Bulls a contract decision to make. If he can keep on performing like this, it would be a no-brainer to hand him an extension. The Bulls have been struggling for quite a few years and are trying to rebuild now, having said goodbye to players like DeMar DeRozan, Alex Caruso and Zach LaVine over the past year.

Still just 22 years of age, Giddey can be a centerpiece for the next generation of Bulls basketball.
