Charles Barkley Goes Off on Kendrick Perkins and ESPN, Leaving Shaq in Tears
Charles Barkley never holds back, and his latest rant had Shaquille O’Neal completely losing it on live TV. This time, Barkley set his sights on Kendrick Perkins and ESPN after Perkins claimed that LeBron James and the Lakers are “single-handedly saving the NBA.”
Barkley wasn’t having any of it. In classic Chuck fashion, he went off, calling Perkins a straight-up clown for the take, leaving Shaq gasping for air from laughter.
“Man, come on. That’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard all year,” Barkley said. “Ain’t nobody saving the NBA. The NBA is fine! Just because ESPN talks about the Lakers every day don’t mean they saving the league!”
Barkley didn’t stop there. He called out the network’s obsession with the Lakers, saying that other teams deserve more credit.
“Y’all just love talking about LeBron and the Lakers. What about Denver? What about Boston? What about Minnesota? Stop acting like the NBA needs saving.”
Shaq, struggling to contain himself, could only shake his head and laugh, clearly enjoying every second of Barkley’s unfiltered honesty.
Viral Moment
The video of Barkley’s rant instantly went viral, racking up over a million views in no time. Fans couldn’t get enough of Chuck keeping it real, with many agreeing that the Lakers get far too much attention from the media.
This is just another example of why Barkley and Shaq are a national treasure on TV. Whether they’re roasting each other, going at players, or just having fun, their chemistry is undeniable.
