The Scottish Professional Football League has notified a number of changes to the William Hill Premiership fixture calendar after the confirmation of TV selections
The first Edinburgh derby of the season, three Rangers away games, one Celtic road trip, and two matches between Dundee United and Aberdeen are all impacted.
Seven top-flight games have been relocated to new kickoff times at the request of broadcast partners Sky Sports and Premier Sports, beginning with Rangers’ trip to Kilmarnock next month.
The Rugby Park match has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 20, at 12 p.m., and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
The following weekend, Aberdeen’s match against Dundee United at Pittodrie on Saturday, October 26, has been rescheduled for a teatime kickoff at 5.45pm, live on Premier Sports.
The first Edinburgh derby of the season takes place the following day, when Hibs face Hearts at Easter Road in a live Sky Sports duel at 12 noon, pitting David Gray against Steven Naismith for the first time. This will be the first half of a double bill on Sky, with live coverage of the Motherwell v Celtic match following.
Rangers will also have a tea-time kick-off on Boxing Day when they travel to St Mirren on Thursday, December 26, at 5.45pm on Premier Sports.
Philippe Clement’s team will return to the box three days later, when they face Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday, December 29, with Sky Sports providing live coverage and a 3pm kick-off.
Viewers may then switch channels to watch Dundee United v Aberdeen on Premier Sports, with the Tannadice match scheduled for Sunday, December 29, with a later 5.15pm kickoff.
