Caleb Wilson, a five-star power forward in the 2025 class, is already turning heads with the North Carolina Tar Heels.
This spring, North Carolina secured commitments from four of the nation’s top recruits, highlighted by Wilson—ranked as the No. 5 overall prospect.

With summer workouts now in full swing, it didn’t take long for Wilson to show why he’s so highly regarded. In a recently released practice clip, the 18-year-old effortlessly sliced through the defense before soaring for a powerful two-handed dunk—a preview of what he could bring to Chapel Hill.
Expectations are always high for players of his caliber, especially at a program with UNC’s storied history. But the stakes feel even higher right now as the Tar Heels look to regain their footing under head coach Hubert Davis after recent struggles with consistency. Many believe Wilson’s arrival could be the spark North Carolina needs to reestablish itself as an ACC powerhouse.
Wilson isn’t the only elite newcomer joining the roster. Head coach Hubert Davis also added four-star combo guard Derek Dixon, four-star point guard Isaiah Denis, and Luka Bogavac, an unranked combo guard from Montenegro.

To strengthen the roster even further, Davis pulled together an impressive transfer class featuring four four-star transfers and one three-star addition.
With Wilson and a talented supporting cast, optimism is building that the Tar Heels could be primed for a big turnaround.
