Lee McCulloch reckons that Celtic bossBrendan Rodgers could be “hanging himself out to dry” via not picking new recruits in his starting line-up.

The switch business at Parkhead has come under scrutiny considering that the return of Rodgers final summer time with several of the recruits failing to get a look-in from the Irishman. Luis Palma, Yang and Paolo Bernardo have hooked up themselves as regulars this term but the likes of Gustaf Lagerbielke, Maik Nawrocki, Odin Thiago Holm, Kwon and Marco Tilio failed to make an impression.

Both Kwon and Tilio have already been shipped out on mortgage while Lagerbielke solely remained at the membership after an damage to Cameron Carter-Vickers saw the plug pulled on a temporary switch to Lecce. Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah arrived at Celtic in January but have but to make an influence – and former Rangers star McCulloch reckons that he could be sending a message to the board that he didn’t fancy countless of the recruits BEFORE a deal was sealed.

McCulloch told PLZ Soccer: “When you seem to be at his track report of signing players, it’s genuinely pretty good, isn’t always it? Like (Odsonne) Edouard and a couple of the forward players.

“That is what he has been verified in. This season, I don’t think they are his types of players. It tells you the entirety that he is not enjoying his signings.

“He is either striking himself out to dry for the board or he is basically saying I did not actually fancy them in the first place.” Fellow pundit Tam McManus chimed in: “They are not is correct as what he has already got.”
