Earlier this week, Manchester United disclosed photographs of Ruben Amorim’s inaugural training session at Carrington. David Rosa recalls his initial sessions with Amorim at Casa Pia in a slightly different perspective, despite the fact that the players were smiling and appeared to be in high spirits.
“I remember that he was the first coach I ever met who left me with a headache at the end of the first week of training, such was the amount of information I had to process,” according to Rosa.
Rosa considers Amorim to be the most exceptional coach he has encountered during his tenure, despite the fact that he did cause him some discomfort. United is of the opinion that they have appointed one of the world’s most talented coaches.
Amorim will be required to perform at a level that is representative of his reputation. The 39-year-old inherited a United team that is presently 13th in the Premier League and is struggling to score goals. However, he succeeded at Sporting Lisbon in similar circumstances and guided them to their first league title in 19 years.
