BREAKING: Cooper Flagg WILL PLAY in Duke’s Round of 64 matchup vs. Mount St. Mary, the team announced.

Duke University’s men’s basketball team has announced that star freshman Cooper Flagg has been cleared to play in their upcoming NCAA Tournament Round of 64 game against Mount St. Mary’s. Flagg had been sidelined due to a sprained left ankle sustained during the ACC Tournament quarterfinals against Georgia Tech.

Despite his absence, the Blue Devils secured the ACC title with victories over North Carolina and Louisville. Flagg, who averages 18.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game, participated fully in Wednesday’s practice and expressed confidence in his readiness for the tournament.

Duke enters the tournament as a No. 1 seed, boasting an 11-game winning streak and a 28-3 overall record. They will face Mount St. Mary’s, which earned its spot by defeating American University in the First Four.

Flagg’s return is anticipated to bolster Duke’s performance as they commence their March Madness journey.
