Franck Kessie, a Barcelona midfielder, understands “exactly” what his future holds amid reports of interest from Tottenham
The midfielder faces an uncertain summer at Camp Nou, having been linked with both Italian heavyweights Juventus and long-time admirers Tottenham Hotspur.
According to rumours, Juventus have negotiated a loan-to-buy agreement for Kessie, although Spurs are still in the running for a Premier League move for the midfielder.
Kessie was once again an unused substitute as Barcelona defeated AC Milan overnight in Las Vegas, having played only 45 minutes in four pre-season friendly this summer.
After the game, Barcelona’s head coach explained why Kessie was not included in the team.
“Franck Kessie did not play due to a minor illness,” he explained, before adding, “Regarding his future, he is fully aware of the situation.”
Barcelona will play Spurs in the Joan Gamper Trophy, which will be contested at the Estadi Olmpic Llus Companys this year.
