Auburn’s Bruce Pearl Receives Major Roster News on Tuesday

Bruce Pearl Scores Big: Keyshawn Hall Commits to Auburn, Withdraws from NBA Draft

With the glow of March Madness still lingering, Auburn basketball just received news that could define its 2025-26 season.

On Tuesday, UCF transfer Keyshawn Hall made it official: he’s pulling his name from NBA Draft consideration and fully committing to Bruce Pearl’s Tigers, giving Auburn a huge roster boost at the perfect time.

Hall, a 6-foot-7 guard/forward hybrid, turned heads all season at UCF, averaging 18.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. His standout campaign earned him Second-Team All-Big 12 and Big 12 All-Newcomer Team honors—making him one of the most coveted names in the transfer portal. Known for his ability to score at all three levels, defend multiple positions, and create for others, Hall’s skillset instantly elevates Auburn’s outlook for next season.

CBS Sports insider Jon Rothstein broke the news on X (formerly Twitter), confirming Hall’s decision to stay in college and suit up for Auburn.

And for Bruce Pearl, the timing couldn’t be better.

Coming off a historic 32-6 season, an SEC regular-season title (15-3), and a Final Four run that ended with a gritty 79-73 loss to Florida, Auburn now faces a major roster overhaul. Key contributors like Johni Broome, Tahaad Pettiford, Chad Baker-Mazara, Miles Kelly, Denver Jones, and Dylan Cardwell are all exiting, whether through graduation, the NBA, or the transfer portal.

Enter Keyshawn Hall.

His commitment not only fills a major void on the wing, but also signals Pearl’s determination to reload rather than rebuild. Hall’s size, scoring versatility, and defensive upside offer exactly the type of foundation Auburn needs to remain a national title contender.

Pearl has made it clear: Auburn isn’t slowing down.
With Hall now in the fold, expect the Tigers to stay aggressive in the transfer portal as they look to return to the Final Four—and take the next step—in 2025-26.
