As Rodgers’ adoration is followed by a horrific mauling in Brighton, Matt O’Riley has shocked Celtic supporters by believing the exact opposite.

The midfielder was powerless to stop Nottingham Forest from humiliating his team 7-0 (a nightmare).

Following Brighton’s crushing loss to Nottingham Forest, Celtic supporters are speculating that Matt O’Riley would rejoin the team.

As Forest dominated the Seagulls in a 7-0 victory, manager Fabian Hurzeler substituted the Danish international at halftime. Following the humiliating Premier League loss, some fans demanded that the German be fired.

Many of the spectators ignored O’Riley’s involvement in the Brighton supporters’ thrashing of the players after they had already fallen behind by three goals, and Celtic supporters believe that more transfer magic may be in store.

After an 18-month journey in the Saudi Pro League and Ligue 1, Jota has already returned to Glasgow’s east end, and Kieran Tierney will rejoin Celtic Park in the summer after signing a pre-contract with the Hoops.

On X, a fan posted: “Matt O’Riley, who is having trouble getting into the game at Brighton, enters as a halftime substitution to play in a 5-0 thrashing by Forest. Perhaps they could get him back for £8 or £9 million in the summer.
