Arsenal has ‘done everything’ to prevent Liverpool from signing record-breaking midfielder; however, this may not be enough, according to a report.

Liverpool, along with Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea, are reportedly interested in Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri

The Gunners have reportedly done ‘everything in their power’ to keep the teenager at the club, but there is a growing acceptance that he could be on his way out if a better offer comes in.

Football is responsible for this.

Commentary by London’s Tom Canton on The Gooner Talk’s YouTube channel (via HITC): “We are still unsure whether the youngster will commit his future to Arsenal.”

“Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, and a number of other clubs have expressed an interest in the youngster.”

“Arsenal have done everything possible to keep Ethan Nwaneri at the club by providing him with opportunities.”

“Arsenal has done everything, but if better offers come in from elsewhere, there is very little Arsenal can do.”

“They can only hope he maintains faith in the team that has provided him with these opportunities and development throughout his youth.”

After making his senior debut in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Brentford at the start of the season, the 16-year-old prodigy is now the Premier League’s youngest player.

It’s worth noting that the player can’t sign a professional contract with any club until he turns 17 – something interested parties will undoubtedly keep in mind ahead of the next season.

Though we’ll want to be careful not to prioritize senior stars who can be an instant fit at the club, the rise of Stefan Bajcetic in the ranks shows there’s still value in signing highly-rated midfield talent.

If we can persuade the player that his long-term future would be better served by Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, it could be another brilliant coup by Liverpool in the transfer market.
