Ange Postecoglou claims Spurs’ star improves every time he watches him.

Ange Postecoglou believes that one Tottenham teenager improves with each training session and game, and that he has the potential to become a top player

Underused Spurs man needs to step up.
Radu Dragusin has not played as many minutes as he would like since joining Tottenham at the beginning of the year.

However, the Romanian now gets a chance to impress over the next three games as Micky van de Ven sustained a hamstring injury that will keep him out until after the international break.

The 22-year-old will be eager to demonstrate his qualities, and Postecoglou has no doubts about them.

Ange Postecoglou praised Radu Dragusin.
Postecoglou has now talked glowingly about Dragusin’s abilities and mentality, noting that the centre-back works hard every day on various facets of his game.

When asked about the defender’s time at Tottenham so far, Postecoglou told Football.London: “Radu’s been with us for 10 months and I think he’s been fantastic.

“We signed him because we recognized some pretty great qualities in him in terms of his defending talents, his mindset, and, again, a really unusual trajectory in which he had to work hard to get where he wanted to go. So he had everything I was looking for.

“He is still young, and he works hard every day to improve his game in all aspects. Defenders, the excellent ones, tend to improve with age and experience, and with him, people like Micky and Destiny, we signed them at the age they did because we believe they will get stronger in the coming years, and he is doing just that. Every time he’s out there, I believe I see progress.”

Dragusin’s adjustment to Tottenham’s system has been challenging, according to Postecoglou, as he came from a different style of play in Genoa.

“He had Archie next to him who is 18 and I thought he really stood up in that time just to make sure with those disruptions, we maintained the organization and I thought he was really good.”
