Andy Walker makes a shocking prediction for Celtic vs Rangers.

The first Glasgow Derby of the season is underway, with Celtic hosting Rangers at Celtic Park for the midday kickoff

Brendan Rodgers’ squad leads the Scottish Premiership by two points and has the possibility to widen the gap between Celtic and Rangers if the Irishman wins again this afternoon.

Last season, Rodgers and Celtic dominated Rangers in this fixture, going undefeated and winning four of the five Glasgow Derbies to win the league and Scottish Cup.

And, as the big game approaches, Celtic fans will undoubtedly be nervous, as they always are when a match against Rangers is on the horizon.

However, Andy Walker shows no signs of nervousness. In fact, the former Celtic striker believes the Hoops will win this afternoon’s game ‘comfortably’.

Walker: Rangers ‘would take’ a draw against Celtic.
Walker was asked before of today’s game to predict how he sees the big game playing out.

And, speaking confidently, Walker stated that Rangers ‘cannot create a case’ to win anything at Celtic Park today.

Walker told The Go Radio Football Show, “Typically, you look at it and wonder who will win. It’s usually really tight, and if you tip someone, it’s by a goal. I believe Celtic can win by three goals.

“I believe they can win comfortably. “I’m going 3-0 Celtic.”

“We have been saying that for several months now. They need stronger players, and when I look at the Rangers’ lineup, I believe it is critical for the manager to be able to put something together to demonstrate his ability to deliver a strong performance.

“There are several huge names playing on this important event. Rangers, if you offered them a draw now, they would accept it.

“I cannot make a case for Rangers winning at Parkhead.”

Celtic’s recent record of defeating Rangers

Over the last three years, Celtic have consistently won the Glasgow Derby. Since the Scottish Cup semi-final defeat in 2022, Parkhead has lost only one of its last 12 games.

Walker’s forecast of a comfortable 3-0 Celtic Park triumph is supported by the fact that these games have been quite close in terms of scoreline over the last two seasons.

In fact, you had to go back to that legendary afternoon at Celtic Park in March 2022 to locate the last time Celtic won this game comfortably.

That day, a 4-0 triumph under Ange Postecoglou hammered home Celtic’s dominance, sealing the record-breaking
