Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker shared an injury update on Instagram after missing the Reds’ 3-0 victory over Bournemouth

Liverpool defeated Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday, but did so without Alisson Becker. The goalie was an unexpected absence due to an ailment that kept him out of the lineup.

Of course, the Reds won 3-0, and Caoimhin Kelleher made one outstanding save to maintain his clean sheet. Alisson, on the other hand, will return to the XI as soon as he is fit, but when will that happen?

Liverpool defeated Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday, but did so without Alisson Becker. The goalie was an unexpected absence due to an ailment that kept him out of the lineup.

Of course, the Reds won 3-0, and Caoimhin Kelleher made one outstanding save to maintain his clean sheet. Alisson, on the other hand, will return to the XI as soon as he is fit, but when will that happen?

The Brazilian did, however, provide an injury update on Instagram late Saturday evening. While watching football, we got Alisson’s perspective, which showed him seated on his sofa with a medical device on his legs.

The device essentially circulates blood in Alisson’s legs, which should help with muscle regeneration. That’s the hope, anyway; Liverpool will want him back as soon as possible.

However, this is one of those cases where the appearance is more scary than the reality. Liverpool will have this one under control, and Arne Slot did not make it sound like a catastrophic injury ahead of the game against Bournemouth.

Fingers crossed that everything goes as planned and Alisson returns to play soon.

Alisson is widely regarded as the best goalkeeper in the world, but his injury record is far from ideal. The Brazilian misses several games each season, and that’s the only reason the Reds have kept Caoimhin Kelleher satisfied.

The Irishman is confident that he will play a significant number of games each season, like Kelleher did for months at the start of this year. He’s in for more Premier League games and will very definitely start against West Ham United as scheduled.

However, with Giorgi Mamardashvili on his way – and excelling at Valencia – Alisson’s injury record will come under close scrutiny at the conclusion of the season.
