FC Zurich manager Ricardo Moniz has cautioned Nikola Katic that his window for a possible Rangers comeback is closing and that he could find himself in a “difficult situation.”
After four years at Rangers, Katic assisted Steven Gerrard in 2021 in ending the team’s ten-year Premiership title drought.
A defensive injury issue needs to be resolved by Philippe Clement, and it was exclusively disclosed by Record Sport that Katic was open to returning to Ibrox from Switzerland. Katic missed training at the beginning of this week to reflect on his future since he is eager to move on from Zurich.

But before of today’s match against FC Luzern, Zurich manager Moniz has announced that he is back to training with his team.
However, there is not much time left for the 28-year-old to finalize a move to Glasgow. “Nikola has resumed training with the first team,” stated Moniz.
Although he had hoped for an early transfer, the window for transfers is now closing. No bids have been made. What happens if he is unable to make the transfer he wants to? I’m not sure. It would be a challenging circumstance.
However, the player and the club’s board are at odds about it.
