Oxlade-Chamberlain is in early discussions to join the Midlands club, according to Football Insider, and the deal is now getting closer.
Unai Emery is thought to have swayed the midfielder over with a solid sales speech about how he would fit into his developing Villa team.
Oxlade-Chamberlain’s flexibility, dynamism, and ability to create and score goals impress the Spaniard.
The Englishman, like Youri Tielemans, who completed a free transfer to Villa last Saturday, is proven in the Premier League and capable of slotting straight into their team. He struggled for game time at Anfield last season, accumulating just 13 appearances and 491 minutes in total across all competitions, but the England international has made 235 Premier League appearances in his career, with 20 goals and 28 assists.
According to Football Insider, Napoli star Hirving Lozano has been selected as a priority target by Villa’s recruiting staff for this summer, and a deal for him is in the works.
The wide attacker is considered as a matchwinner who can make an immediate impact in the Premier League, and there are reports that he might be available for a move this summer.
