After Danilo scored for Rangers in their 6-0 victory against Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Wednesday, Todd Cantwell sent him a two-word message.
After recovering from injury on December 4, the striker took to social media to share his joy at scoring his maiden goal in the Scottish Premiership.
Cantwell added his thoughts, and AC Milan star Tijjani Reijnders was among others ecstatic for the 25-year-old as he shared a heart emoji and a flexed bicep.
The former Gers ace wrote, “Yes, Dannyyyy.”
Following the Rangers’ 6-0 victory over Kilmarnock, Todd Cantwell gives the star a two-word message.
Despite forcing his way out of Ibrox in the summer, Cantwell is still discussed for a variety of reasons.
The attacker was forced out of the club by Philippe Clement, according to Keith Jackson of the Daily Record, who recently called the decision “bizarre” [Daily Record’s Hotline podcast, 2 December].
After spending £500,000 to join Blackburn Rovers, Cantwell has already made an impact, with one goal and three assists in 13 Championship appearances [The Scottish Sun].
On Saturday [30 November], he scored his first goal for the Ewood Park team in a 1-0 victory over Leeds United, and he danced to celebrate.
The celebration was comparable to the one he and Danilo had after he scored in the Light Blues’ UEFA Europa League triumph over Sparta Prague in November of last year.
On that particular instance, Clement was seen rushing over to the two and indicating that they should continue playing the game [Four Lads Had A Dream, 9 November 2023].
Even though Cantwell and Danilo no longer play together, it seems they are still close friends.
