After the Lakers made a huge trade for Mark Williams, what comes next?

On Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers completed yet another historic acquisition, acquiring Charlotte Hornets center Mark Williams. Rob Pelinka, the general manager, made yet another huge transaction when Los Angeles desperately needed a big guy.

Los Angeles is prepared for the last stretch of the regular season with the acquisition of Williams and star guard Luka Doncic. However, as the trade deadline draws to a close, the team may still have a few surprises in store.

The Lakers may make another move in the last hours they have to make the squad better. However, before the trade deadline passes, what may the Lakers do?

Maxi Kleber, move
According to sources, the Lakers are unwilling to let go of key players like Gabe Vincent and Rui Hachimura. Los Angeles will have few options if it adopts this mindset.

However, they do have Kleber’s $11 million contract, which they acquired in the Doncic deal. Due to his present injury, Kleber could miss the rest of the season. Therefore, it would be prudent for the squad to exchange his contract for one that would enable them to win this season.

The Lakers might improve their postseason prospects by adding a center or additional wing assistance. The Charlotte Hornets’ Cody Martin could be som

eone to keep an eye on in the final hours of the trade deadline.

Against all odds, transfer Vincent and Hachimura.
The Lakers might make another big move if they choose to trade for Hachimura and Vincent. Right now, though, this doesn’t appear plausible.

Bruce Brown, Collin Sexton, and more names could emerge. However, the Lakers are more likely to make a small deal before the deadline.

Wait for the buyout market and be calm.
The Lakers have already altered the course of the season if they don’t take any more action. Given the possibility of some well-known stars landing there, Los Angeles could hold off on exploring the buyout market until after the trade deadline.

The Lakers are obviously focused on winning this season and for years to come, but we are all in wait and see mode.
