Fabrizio Romano revealed that Ghana World Cup standout Mohammed Kudus wishes to join a Premier League team such as Liverpool

The 22-year-old scored twice against South Korea to put Ghana in a crucial group-stage match against bitter rivals Uruguay.

The Black Stars nearly missed out on qualification to the knockout stages, although the team’s overall performance exceeded expectations given their low ranking in Qatar.

Kudus was the team’s leader and talisman, and he is widely regarded as a potential African football great.

Domestically, the midfielder has also impressed, scoring five goals in 14 Eredivisie appearances for Ajax this season and claiming four more in the Champions League.

One of those European goals came in a 2-1 loss to Liverpool, a team Kudus is rumored to want to join.

Kudus is “daydreaming” about Liverpool.

TeamTalk reported earlier this month that Liverpool, along with Arsenal, Tottenham, and Newcastle, were interested in signing Kudus.

And Romano has now confirmed that scouts from Jurgen Klopp’s team were deployed to observe the forward.

However, the transfer guru stated that he was doubtful whether the Reds will make a move for the Ghanian next summer, considering their current emphasis on securing a deal for England player Jude Bellingham.

“Mohammed Kudus has always dreamed of playing in the Premier League,” Romano told CaughtOffside. He dreams of playing in the Premier League.

“He was close to joining Everton last summer, but Ajax scuttled the deal after selling Antony to Manchester United.”

“Liverpool sent scouts to track Kudus down a few months back.” We’ll see about investments in the summer because Jude Bellingham is currently their only summer objective.”

Is he better than Neymar?

The burgeoning superstar is not lacking in confidence.

Kudus had a heated disagreement with Neymar during a friendly between Brazil and Ghana in September. “He’s not better than me,” the Ghanian later told the Guardian. He’s simply a more well-known player.

“He was protecting his nation, and I was protecting mine.” I wasn’t going to let him bully me.

“What makes him better for the time being is that he has accomplished a lot.” “I’ll be there shortly.”
