A pundit believes that a player changing Spurs for Newcastle would be a’sideways move.’

If Harry Kane departs Tottenham this summer, according to Peter Crouch, Manchester United is the only realistic option.

Spurs have indicated in recent weeks that they have no intention of moving Kane this summer, and that the club has informed the striker’s entourage that they would not be listening to proposals for him.

On the eve of their UEFA Champions League Group D football match against Marseille, Tottenham Hotspur‘s English striker Harry Kane attends a team training session at the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club Training Ground in north London on October 31, 2022.
The Daily Mail claimed earlier this week that the England captain is expecting that Daniel Levy would soften his attitude and that United will rekindle their interest.

This was followed by an update in The Sun a few days ago, which claimed that the Red Devils have told Kane that if he wants to move to Old Trafford this summer, he must submit a transfer request.

Harry Kane’s only choice is Manchester United.
There have also been reports in recent days that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing the 29-year-old (Le Parisien), but Crouch has now stated that joining Erik Ten Hag‘s side is the only feasible option for the centre-forward this summer.

When asked if Kane may make a surprise transfer to Newcastle United, the former Tottenham Hotspur striker told talkSPORT (22/06/23 at 8:40 am): “Manchester United is Kane’s only real option.”

Newcastle is a bit, I’d call it a sideways move.” I know they’re making progress, but we’re not sure where Tottenham is.”

Manchester United and Real Madrid (whose interest appears to have waned) were always Kane’s only feasible options this summer.

I don’t believe the rumors tying the striker to Chelsea, Newcastle, PSG, and Bayern Munich ever had legs.

As things currently stand, it looks that the England captain will stay at Tottenham until the end of his contract.
