A Celtic Diamond, Brendan – It’s Time for Tomoki

We are crying out for a bit of extra-strength in the Celtic midfield and Tomoki Iwata is the man we need back in the team…

It’s plain to see that our midfield lacks an enforcer type, any person who can play a bit while having a bit of dig about them. We already have that man in our squad and his title is Tomoki Iwata.

Tomoki was once looking like the participant we all knew he ought to be earlier than pulling up with an harm in the Champions League clash with Feyenoord at Celtic Park in December. He seemed sharp and bright in the previous video games he performed and was starting to seem to be like he was going to make that midfield spot his own.

Unfortunately he’s been absent since, but now he’s returned to full health and was once on the bench for Saturday’s draw at domestic to Kilmarnock. With the sport crying out for some brought strength in the center of the park, it was once bewildering that Brendan Rodgers didn’t put the Japanese international on to shore up that problem.

Iwata is a defensive midfielder, it’s his job and he is blissful doing it. He’s played that function his complete career and used to be named J league Player of the Year before he joined Celtic.

More importantly he’s validated he can do it in our side. He’s a very wise participant and one who is aware of how to do his job. We are crying out for a player like Tomoki in our side, but just like the entirety else Brendan Rodgers just refuses to see it.

The Celtic Star has been arguing for a return to the diamond midfield that Rodgers used effectively on event for the duration of his first spell at the club. And with ALL of the wingers at the membership both no longer in competition – and how some distance has James Forrest fallen down the pecking order if he can’t get chosen in advance of these 4 who wasted our time on Saturday afternoon? – or simply undeniable rotten, then an alternative must be found QUICKLY.

A diamond midfield approves Tomoki to sit down deep, liberating up Callum McGregor to play in his great function further ahead and it also brings Paulo Bernardo lower back into the crew after he misplaced his place, rather unfairly, to accommodate Adam Idah in the team. Ralston and Taylor in the fullback roles can push ahead when appropriate. Surely that’s higher than that 4-3-3 protection first soccer which at the weekend had us taking pictures the incorrect way in the closing stages.

Over to you Brendan.
