The midfielder will not play again this season due to a hip injury that has returned. The Reds decided to act now rather than wait to perform surgery on Thiago in order to avoid any further issues.
Due to a complaint, the Spain international missed eight games earlier this year, and he will now miss the Reds’ final four games as they try to qualify for Europe.
In his pre-game press conference ahead of Liverpool’s match against Brentford at Anfield tomorrow, Klopp stated, “Thiago will have surgery and is out for the rest of the season.”

In the mean time, Jordan Henderson is an uncertainty for the game against Brentford in the wake of experiencing a physical issue in Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Fulham. The captain of Liverpool has had a scan for a minor problem and is waiting for the results.
Diogo Jota hasn’t done much training in the lead-up because he’s still recovering from a bruised back. He did, however, start against Fulham off the bench.
Roberto Firmino (muscle), Naby Keita (muscle), Stefan Bajcetic (adductor), and Calvin Ramsay (knee) are hard and fast.
Liverpool wants to beat Brentford for the sixth time in a row, which would put them one point behind Manchester United in the race for the top four spots in the Premier League. United would have had to play two more games if Klopp’s team had won against the Bees.
