In January, Tottenham “will look to sign” Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo, according to Football Insider

The Fulham center back was highly sought after by Spurs in the summer because Ange Postecoglou wanted to strengthen the defense after signing Micky van de Ven.

However, Tottenham was left in a precarious position as a result of their inability to acquire a second center back, with Eric Dier and Ashley Phillips serving as their only options.

According to the report, Tottenham “likely to revisit a deal” during the January transfer window, either “for a cut-price fee” or “in the form of a pre-contract agreement.”

After Fulham activated the 12-month extension clause in January, Adarabioyo’s current contract will expire in June 2024.

The report suggests that a move for Tosin Adarabioyo could depend on him being sold first, and Spurs are hoping to negotiate a deal for Eric Dier during the winter window.

One of the three players Ange Postecoglou suggested to the Tottenham board to sign this summer was Tosin Adarabioyo.

At the beginning of the summer, it was said that The Australian had identified his back four as a weakness and had apparently given the club the following names: Gleison Bremer, Perr Schuurs, and Tosin Adarabioyo The manager himself and chief scout Leonardo Gabbanini identified these.

Even though Levy was unable to sign any of the three, Ange is said to be pleased with how the transfer window went. They were able to sign seven players, including James Maddison, Manor Solomon, Micky van de Ven, and Guglielmo Vicario, all of whom have already had a significant impact.

Ange may secure one of his recommendations in January, as Tottenham are desperately in need of another center back (pun intended).
