A player who was linked with a loan move to Newcastle United is set for a permanent Premier League move
Last season, the 22-year-old spent on loan at Bayer Leverkusen and was linked with a loan transfer to Newcastle in the summer. The winger has three England caps but has battled for playing time at Stamford Bridge.
According to transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano, Hudson-Odoi has decided to join Forest and has trademarked the move with his ‘here we go’ logo.
Newcastle had previously inquired about Hudson-Odoi’s availability, but have subsequently signed players such as Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes for roughly £80 million.
So far this summer, Newcastle has committed to spending more than £150 million on new signings. Yankuba Minteh (£6 million), Sandro Tonali (£52 million), Barnes (£38 million), Tino Livramento (£30 million), and Lewis Hall (£28 million) on loan with an option to buy next summer.
The Magpies are unlikely to sign any new first-team players, with head coach Eddie Howe pleased with his current roster.
The Premier League transfer deadline is Friday, September 1 at 11 p.m.
