Jurgen Klopp has picked Alexis MacAllister in place of Curtis Jones for Liverpool’s fifth and final pre-season friendly against Darmstadt tonight
The Reds return home, albeit to Deepdale, to face yet another German opponent, with Bundesliga side Darmstadt providing one final test this summer.
The manager has been preparing his team for full match fitness, and it is expected that the majority of his starting lineup will play the whole 90 minutes tonight.
Alisson starts in goal, with a back four that includes Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, and Andy Robertson.
Mac Allister appears to be starting in midfield alongside Dominik Szoboszlai and Cody Gakpo.
Mohamed Salah remains on the right wing, where he is accompanied by Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz.
Jones’ absence is simply another twist in Liverpool’s summer holding midfield controversy.
Thiago and Stefan Bajcetic are still out and are not in the team.
