On Saturday, Brighton and Hove Albion held the Reds to a 3-3 Premier League tie at Anfield after they had rallied from a 2-0 deficit.

Despite having a game in hand, Liverpool is off to its worst start to a league season in a decade after winning just two of their first seven games in the top flight. They are currently 11 points behind early leaders Arsenal.

Klopp’s team will have a challenging fortnight with a trip to the Emirates on Sunday wedged between home and away Champions League matches against Rangers and a trip to Manchester City.

Alisson Becker and two-goal Roberto Firmino both put in respectable efforts against Brighton, but Liverpool’s manager found it challenging to look past the vast majority of problems that still plagued his squad.

Speaking on LFC TV, Klopp added, “There were positives, undoubtedly, but overshadowed by a few other things.”

“We can discuss specific players individually, but generally speaking, I don’t enjoy it much when we win or lose. Everyone will score goals if we can just ensure that the team performs at a consistently high level.

“You can’t possibly believe we would give up. Rangers next, followed by a rocketing Arsenal

“Last year, things were very different and much nicer. Although it’s good to have them, we also need to be prepared for the darker times, which is where we currently find ourselves. Together, we must overcome that, and we will.”
