Liverpool are willing to pay the amount for Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat
The Reds have been linked with a bid for him since before the World Cup, and in what appears to be news better late than never, Liverpool are ready to meet Fiorentina’s fees for Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
According to Italian writer Giacomo Iacobellis of liverpool.com, Fiorentina is demanding £26 million for the player. Surprisingly, we, along with Newcastle United, are still willing to match La Viola’s offer for Amrabat.
The good news, however, does not stop there, as the player remains interested in moving to La Liga to play for Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid or Xaviball at Barcelona. That is something the Reds must contend with in their pursuit of the Moroccan.
Despite popular opinion, Amrabat has continuously excelled at the same level at club level following his World Cup super-run. Even though his team lost to West Ham in the UEFA Conference League final, his performance was nothing short of amazing.
Amrabat on loan to the Reds?
At his current price, he could be a terrific investment for the Reds. Amrabat has all the raw talents to be an outstanding addition to the Reds’ side, having played second fiddle to Fabinho for a while before eventually taking over the starting role.
With James Milner also leaving for Brighton, someone as versatile as Amrabat might step in and play all around the midfield lines, becoming the “Brexit” type of player Liverpool may use.
Liverpool has a plethora of other midfielders on their radar as well, and we aim to add a couple to the list of only one acquisition in this window.
Amrabat should get the opportunity he deserves and continue to thrive. Over the previous six months, he has proven many people wrong and should continue to do so.
