Yesterday, Spanish publication Sport claimed (news image below) that the 27-year-old’s future “would be close to Liverpool.”
According to the Catalan source, Pavard was offered to Barcelona months ago, and the Blaugrana seriously considered signing him when it appeared that Jules Kounde may quit the club.
Because the former Sevilla defender is anticipated to stay, the Spanish champions will now need to buy a right back next year.
Pavard, on the other hand, is not going to wait until 2024; he is leaving this summer, and thanks to Barcelona’s decision, Liverpool are getting closer to signing him.
