Indeed, according to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool has signed the Argentine for just £35 million.

Of course, after losing the likes of Naby Keita, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, the midfield appears to be Liverpool’s top priority.

And it appears that they are already planning a move for another talented midfielder in Manu Kone.

Liverpool has spoken with Kone’s agent.
According to Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor, the Reds have already held talks with Kone’s agent about a summer switch.

“I think the clear message would be that if he’s a player that Jurgen Klopp wants to sign, then the answer is yes,” he said. “Discussions have taken place with his representatives.

“The fact that he’s available for a fraction of the price of someone like Mason Mount, I think it would be really good business for Liverpool.”

Liverpool have had a difficult season, missing out on Champions League football and struggling to find any real consistency.

Their weaknesses in the middle of the park became apparent throughout the season as Klopp struggled to find the right balance.

Of course, Mac Allister is a savvy addition who should be able to hit the ground running after several seasons in the Premier League with Brighton.

However, there would be a greater element of risk if they decided to pursue Kone further.

However, the 22-year-old has impressed for Monchengladbach and has been described as a’very strong’ midfielder.

He’s been a standout in the Bundesliga this season and would be a useful option for Klopp due to his versatility in the middle of the park.

The Frenchman could also be available for as little as £40 million this summer, making him an appealing option for Liverpool.
