Klopp will be devastated: Another Liverpool player ‘would jump at the chance’ to leave in the summer, according to Klopp.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp couldn’t imagine life without Caoimhin Kelleher. Unless the Reds receive a ‘extraordinary offer’

Such a scenario is possible this summer, given the steady interest in his services, as reported by The Athletic’s James Pearce in a tweet.

“I can’t see anything… Caoimh isn’t going anywhere, in my opinion. “It must be an extraordinary offer,” the German tactician said of the Republic of Ireland international during his pre-Aston Villa press conference (via liverpoolfc.com).

The question remains as to what a ‘extraordinary offer’ would entail; one might reasonably expect the Reds to reject any bid that does not exceed £15 million, and rightly so given the quality they would be giving up.

Liverpool should fight tooth and nail to get the most out of Caoimhin Kelleher.

Liverpool are the type of club that will happily let a talented bench option leave for greener pastures in order to secure more regular game time.

Kelleher, in our opinion, is a perfect fit for a number of top-flight clubs and is far too talented to be Alisson’s understudy for the next half-decade or so.

Having said that, we’d hope the club will be inclined to get the best possible price for a ‘keeper who is arguably good enough to start for the majority of English teams.

On that basis, and given the value placed on top-tier goalkeepers, a bid of £30 million, which would almost certainly satisfy the club, would represent an incredible bargain for a willing buyer.

Given that Hugo Lloris is past his prime at Tottenham, we’d expect the club to be first in line for Kelleher’s services.
