According to the most recent update from TyC Sports, the World Cup winner will leave Brighton and Hove Albion at the end of the season to join Liverpool. While nothing has been made official, “the agreement is already complete” and Mac Allister will join Liverpool.

The Reds intended to offer the midfielder a multi-year contract as they desperately seek to strengthen their engine room. James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keta will all leave this summer, giving Klopp plenty of room to bring in new players.

Fabio Carvalho has also been given permission to pursue a move elsewhere, whether temporary or permanent. Anfield legend John Aldridge believes the Reds could sacrifice Thiago to make more room and raise funds for what is shaping up to be a fruitful transfer season.

Liverpool is said to have paid close to €70 million (£60 million) for Mac Allister’s services. Despite being a midfielder, he has contributed 12 goals for the Seagulls this season and is their leading scorer.
