Brighton are already planning a replacement for reported Liverpool target Alexis MacAllister

According to almost every news outlet, Mac Allister is now one of the Reds’ top priorities in the upcoming transfer window. He won’t be cheap, but the Argentine looks like he’ll be a Liverpool player next season.

According to journalist Dean Jones, Brighton’s lack of pushback indicates that they’ve already accepted Mac Allister’s departure. Jones discussed the possibility of the Reds signing one of the Seagulls’ best players with GiveMeSport last night.

“He [Jurgen Klopp] just needs to put his foot down, take a breather, and know that he can go into pre-season with a fully fit squad and a couple of additions ready to go from day one of next season,” the journalist began.

“I think that’s why you’re hearing so much about Liverpool’s transfer targets, particularly Mac Allister, and how they’d like to get that done quickly.” It says a lot that even Brighton isn’t downplaying it right now. They’re almost resigned to the situation. They’re already making replacement plans, so I think things are looking up for Liverpool.”

Brighton is preparing to say goodbye to Mac Allister.

On the surface, Brighton are making preparations to cushion the blow of Mac Allister’s possible departure. They’re reportedly close to signing James Milner and Mahmoud Dahoud.

Dahoud, in particular, appears to be the man to replace their World Cup-winning No.10.

Given how soon this transaction appears to be completed, it would seem that Brighton is well aware of what is about to occur.

They’re anticipating what needs to be done ahead of next season, as all well-run clubs do. They don’t want to be left scrambling around close to or after the campaign begins.

This bodes well for Liverpool’s chances of bringing in M

ac Allister. As another club that prefers to spend money on transfers as soon as possible, getting Alexis through the door with time to spare would be a huge boost.

Keeping all of this in mind, it appears that Brighton and Liverpool are on the same wavelength here.

The eventual fee could be a stumbling block – the Seagulls’ asking price still seems excessive to us. However, if everyone is on the same page, it should still work.

Still, nothing’s done until it’s done. Liverpool fans have been stung with long-running transfer sagas in the recent past. So, won’t be counting our chickens just yet.
