Curtis Jones was the standout performer for Liverpool in their 3-0 win over Leicester, but he wasn’t the only one
The Reds dominated at the King Power Stadium on Monday night, cruising to a win that keeps them in the top four.
Jones’ first-half double was supplemented by an incredible Trent Alexander-Arnold strike, capping off a fantastic night for Jurgen Klopp’s team.
In this section, we compare our player ratings to those of the readers of the Liverpool Echo, Goal, WhoScored, FotMob, and This Is Anfield.
Jones (8.9) received the highest average rating on Monday, unsurprisingly, as his sustained run in the side continues.
The 22-year-old expertly took both of his goals and shone in his all-around game, knitting things together nicely in the middle of the park.
Jones was named Man of the Match by TIA’s Joanna Durkan, who gave him a nine-out-of-ten rating, saying he is “oozing confidence” and brought a “level of poise and calmness” to the team.
On the night, he was described as “very, very good” by Ian Doyle of the Echo, who praised him for “playing with real confidence before netting the opener.”
Alexander-Arnold (8.4) came in second in the ratings and is clearly enjoying his new midfield role.
He ran the show in the middle of the field at times, displaying his class in possession, and Goal’s Neil Jones said he “capped a sublime display with a quite brilliant free-kick.”
Salah (8.0) was up next, and for the first time in his career, the Egyptian King recorded a hat-trick of assists.
Durkan thought his “vision and execution were first-class” against the struggling Foxes, while Jones was focused on his “glorious ball for Jones’ first goal.”
