Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp came under fire after making comments following his team’s victory over Tottenham Hotspur

After Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was charged following their dramatic win over Tottenham Hotspur, Brentford manager Thomas Frank believes the German ‘comes across very well’.

Following Diogo Jota’s last-gasp winner against Ryan Mason’s side, the 55-year-old found himself at the center of a controversy due to comments he made about referee Paul Tierney.

The Portuguese striker’s effort came after Richarlison leveled the game for the north London club, sparking wild celebrations from Klopp in front of the fourth official, Gary Beswick.

Mohamed Salah’s penalty extended Liverpool’s winning streak to five games on Wednesday. However, their victory was not without controversy, as Darwin Nunez was found to have been brought down by Issa Diop.

Cottagers manager Marco Silva slammed Stuart Attwell’s decision, while captain Tom Cairney claimed the official admitted the error.

Speaking ahead of the Bees’ trip to Anfield on Saturday, Frank explained that managers bear responsibility for how they act on the sidelines, but admitted that emotions can run high.

“We’re only humans, and those situations are fraught with emotion and pressure.” I’m not sure what to make of this situation. I have no idea what happened. I suppose Jurgen will have to explain. I think Jurgen comes across very well in general, but there are times when we get too emotional and make a mistake.

“As I previously stated, I do my best, but sometimes the emotions and pressure of time just get to you.”
