According to journalist Ian Doyle, the Spanish international was seen heading to the bench to sit with the Liverpool substitutes before the teams headed out for kick-off, indicating that Thiago could be out again due to injury.

The former Bayern Munich star played 30 minutes against West Ham in midweek, finishing the game with no apparent problems, but it now appears that the midfielder has injured himself again, adding to Liverpool’s options.

Thiago’s time at Liverpool has been marred by numerous injury concerns, with the 32-year-old already missing 16 games this season due to various issues, and it appears that the 32-year-old is once again on the treatment table, despite overcoming a two-month-long hip problem.

Liverpool fans will be concerned about Thiago’s absence from the Tottenham game.

Thiago’s injury record has followed him for the majority of his career, and with the Liverpool star spotted alongside the squad to face Tottenham in a non-playing capacity, fans have every reason to be concerned about how long the Spaniard could now be out.

With Liverpool finding form at the right time, having Thiago out injured could be a fatal blow to the Reds’ dream of finishing in the top four, and questions will be raised about whether the Merseyside giants can rely on the midfielder despite his world-class abilities.
