According to reports, the club may now sell a £20 million player to Liverpool in order to sign a ‘crazy’ Klopp target.

Bayern Munich could sell Ryan Gravenberch to Liverpool this summer, as the club expects to sign RB Leipzig star Konrad Laimer

According to Sport Bild, the Reds’ pursuit of alternative midfield targets has been updated following their failed pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.

Jurgen Klopp expressed interest in bringing Laimer to Anfield in the summer during the January transfer window, as his contract will expire at the end of the season.

Despite Liverpool’s interest, the 25-year-old chose to sign a pre-contract with Bayern Munich, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

While this would have been a setback for the Merseyside club, Sport Bild claims it may now open the door to Bayern selling another Klopp target to the Reds.

They claim that with Laimer’s arrival at the Allianz Arena, the German giants could sell Gravenberch to Liverpool, who signed him last summer.

Gravenberch could be allowed to join Liverpool by Laimer.
Despite missing out on Laimer, who is known for his ‘crazy’ work rate, the Austrian’s arrival at Bayern Munich could be beneficial to Liverpool.

Last summer, the Reds missed out on signing Gravenberch from Ajax, who moved to Germany in a £20 million deal.

However, his time with the European giants has not begun as he would have hoped.

Despite making 17 Bundesliga appearances this season, only one has come from the starting XI. Instead, the vast majority of his appearances have been as a substitute for the final few minutes.

As a result, a move to Liverpool could be an opportunity for him to re-establish himself in Klopp’s midfield.
