The 20-year-deal old’s with the Reds expires in 2027, but he might play outside of Anfield in 2019.

Carvalho signed a five-year contract with the Merseysiders last summer after leaving Fulham.

The midfielder has played just 12 Premier League games this season, totaling 335 minutes of top-flight football, and has struggled to make an impact for Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Despite the Reds’ issues in the middle of the field, Klopp has been hesitant to use the attacking midfielder to his full potential.

The team may now accept a loan offer for Carvalho from a Premier League team if they can convince Liverpool to use him frequently in the upcoming campaign.

Carvalho made 38 appearances for Fulham in all competitions last season, scoring 11 goals and dishing out eight assists in the process, assisting them in gaining promotion to the top flight.

After a lackluster season that could end with the club missing out on Champions League football the following year, Liverpool is preparing to undergo a significant overhaul of their midfield this summer.

Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund was expected to join the club in the upcoming transfer window, but because of his potentially prohibitive £130 million price tag, Klopp has decided against making a deal.

Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (12 April) that the Reds are now prepared to spend up to £200 million on midfielders this summer in the hopes of bringing in two or three new players.
