Trent Alexander-Arnold expressed his delight at seeing Liverpool teammate Luis Diaz return from injury

Diaz hasn’t been seen in a Liverpool shirt in nearly six months. Reds fans have been missing him more and more since that Sunday afternoon at the Emirates Stadium.

Alexander-Arnold, it appears, did as well. Trent told Liverpoolfc.com that the fit-again Colombian can provide Liverpool with a “spark” that few players can.

“He’s a top player and a top young man.” It’s been a difficult season for him, seeing him out so much. But he’s back, he’s back smiling, he’s back enjoying his football, and that’s all you can ask,” the 24-year-old said.

“With a player like that, he brings enthusiasm and a spark to the team that not many players have.” It’s great to have him back.”

Diaz is ready to carry the load once more.

There aren’t many players who can generate as much excitement on the football field as Luis Diaz. He epitomizes the term “livewire.”

Any team that was missing him would be acutely aware of his absence. However, Liverpool 2022/23 require a player like him more than almost any other team in football history.

This season, their attacking play has been slow, sluggish, and uninspiring far too often. Liverpool have looked a little lost without Diaz, who was used to injecting the required pace throughout 2022.

Patience is required if the 26-year-old does not immediately return to his talismanic form. After all, he’s been out for six months.

But, for the time being, almost every Liverpool fan will be feeling the same way Trent is. Diaz is the epitome of football excitement. The Reds desperately need that right now.

His reappearance couldn’t have come at a better time. This week features three massive games before a run-in that appears to be favorable. Liverpool will rely on Diaz to get them over the line, just as he did at the start of last year.
