Austria’s Julia Scheib continued her breakout 2025-26 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup season with a commanding victory in the women’s giant slalom at Kronplatz, Italy on Tuesday. It marked Scheib’s fourth GS win of the season in just seven giant slalom starts, reinforcing her position as the discipline’s leader and a top medal contender ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina. �

Scheib, 27, posted a combined time of 2:19.85 on the notoriously demanding Erta course, moving up from third after the first run with a strong second-run performance to overtake her rivals. Her win extends a remarkable season in which she has collected multiple victories and becomes one of the most consistent giant slalom racers in the circuit. �

Swiss star Camille Rast claimed second place, finishing 0.37 seconds behind Scheib.
