The two most powerful clubs in English football are Liverpool and Manchester United. The game is self-explanatory.

Yet to beat your opponents 7-0, especially when they are in top form, is quite impressive on many levels.

This is something Liverpool fans will talk about for decades to come, and their opponents will never be able to erase this nightmare from their minds.

Salah assisted on two goals yesterday, including one for himself, and Scholes was quite impressed with the 30-year-old.

“I felt Salah was great,” Scholes added. “Not only his goals, but his overall play. I believed he shown his strength. Excellent touch and technique. Pass weight for the goal as well. He was a genius.”

FOWLER’S RECORD IS BROKEN BY SALAH

Salah returned to English football in 2017 when the Reds paid Roma £35 million (Sky Sports) for a player who had previously struggled in Chelsea’s colors.

Salah is now Liverpool’s all-time leading scorer, which only goes to show what someone can do with a second chance.

The Egypt international scored goals 128 and 129 for the club, surpassing one of English football’s all-time greats, Robbie Fowler.

Salah is already a Merseyside legend, and he will be remembered as one of Liverpool’s finest ever the day he leaves the club.
