The Tar Heels will soon be back on campus for the fall semester, with team functions ramping up and the roster taking its final shape for the 2025 campaign.

On the latest Coast to Coast episode, Inside Carolina’s Sherrell McMillan and Sean Moran joined Joey Powell to break down the state of the program as the team returns. From new player arrivals to roster strengths, recruiting updates, and even some forward-looking analysis on the 2026 high school class, the discussion was a comprehensive look at UNC’s basketball future.

The episode kicked off with a Luka Bogavac update at the 2:40 mark, before diving into Henri Veesaar’s game film and how his skill set could fit into the Tar Heels’ schemes. The panel then examined the intriguing possibility of a Veesaar/Wilson frontcourt, which could give UNC one of the more unique and versatile lineups in the country.

By the 21-minute mark, the conversation shifted to the million-dollar question  what will be the biggest strength of this roster? The panel explored everything from backcourt scoring to rim protection, emphasizing that the blend of experienced veterans and hungry newcomers could make this team dangerous.

Recruiting talk took over the latter half of the show, with updates on prospects scheduling visits and the pecking order among 2026 offers. As always, the Q&A segment at the end brought a mix of insightful fan questions and lighthearted moments that only Coast to Coast can deliver.

This episode serves as a perfect bridge between summer workouts and the intense grind of preseason practice. With the team officially reuniting in Chapel Hill, the countdown to tip-off has truly begun.

And as always, special thanks to Johnny T-shirt, the Chapel Hill staple since 1983, for keeping the Carolina blue spirit alive on Franklin Street and online.

If UNC basketball is a religion, then the return to campus is the annual pilgrimage  and this year, the faithful might just have a team built for a deep March run.
