Shock Exit Looming: Hamza Igamane “Not Happy at Rangers” – Ferguson Claims Star Ready to Jump Ship!

Rangers have been splashing the cash this summer, but attention is now shifting to potential departures from Ibrox

Despite Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers both delivering solid goal returns last season, there’s growing speculation that the pair could be sold to fund further signings. While some fans and pundits argue they should stay, uncertainty continues to swirl around their futures.

Ferguson tips duo for exit

Former Rangers midfielder Derek Ferguson believes both strikers are likely to leave this summer. Speaking to Ibrox News, he shared why he suspects moves are on the horizon.

“[Igamane] hasn’t featured in recent friendlies, which makes me think he’s trying to avoid injury,” Ferguson said. “It looks like he’s not all that happy at Rangers, especially when you think back to him being benched at the end of last season.

He doesn’t seem settled, and I think the Scottish football culture may be part of it. If an offer comes in, I feel he’d take it right away.

“As for Dessers, his stats are solid. At 30, he still has a few good years left. If Rangers can get around £5 million, I think they’ll take the deal.”

Outgoings depend on who comes in

There’s logic behind potentially offloading the duo—especially if manager Russell Martin isn’t convinced by them. Still, both Igamane and Dessers have produced on the pitch, so replacing their goals won’t be easy.

Rangers will need to find two reliable forwards if both leave, and quality strikers don’t come cheap—or often choose Scotland. Jamie Vardy has been linked, but he’d be a short-term fix. Lawrence Shankland could’ve been a savvy free-agent addition, but the club reportedly showed little interest.

As the new Scottish Premiership season approaches, all eyes are on who Rangers might cash in on—and whether their replacements can match their impact.

Scotland will play Croatia at Hampden before wrapping out a disappointing UEFA Nations League campaign away to Poland.

Steve Clarke is ‘impressed’ by Rangers midfielder
Given the circumstances, Scotland’s chances of progressing are slim, as the country is currently ranked last in UEFA Nations League A Group One.

As a result, the next few games, notably the encounter against Poland, could provide an opportunity for Steve Clarke to experiment with his underperforming team.

While Scotland drew 0-0 with Portugal last time out, with Rangers defender John Souttar named Player of the Match, Steve Clarke’s team has only won one of its last 16 games.
