Purdue vs. Memphis Headlines 2025 Baha Mar Hoops: Tipoff Times Locked In for Bahamas Showdown
Pack your sunscreen and mark your calendars Purdue basketball is headed to paradise this November, and they’re bringing the heat with them.
The 2025 Baha Mar Hoops event has officially announced its opening-round matchups and tipoff times, and Purdue fans now know the Boilermakers will open play against Memphis in what promises to be a high-energy showdown. The game is set for Thursday, Nov. 20 at 6:00 p.m. ET, kicking off an exciting two-day stretch of elite college basketball action from the beautiful shores of The Bahamas.
A Tropical Tipoff Against the Tigers
Purdue head coach Matt Painter had hinted earlier this spring that his team would open against Penny Hardaway’s Memphis squad and now it’s official. The Boilermakers and Tigers will be the first game of the four-team tournament. Immediately following will be Texas Tech vs. Wake Forest at 8:30 p.m. ET, completing a strong opening-day lineup.
Win or lose, Purdue will play again on Friday, Nov. 21, with the consolation game at 7:00 p.m. ET and the championship at 9:30 p.m. ET all games broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network.
A Streak on the Line
The Boilermakers have dominated multi-team events (MTEs) in recent years, winning their last four dating back to 2021. That streak will be put to the test against a Memphis team known for its athleticism and physicality, and with potential matchups looming against a gritty Texas Tech squad or a well-coached Wake Forest program, this trip will be no vacation for Purdue.
Big Stakes in the Bahamas
With national implications and early résumé-building opportunities on the line, the Baha Mar Hoops Classic represents one of the early highlights of the 2025-26 college basketball calendar. For Purdue, it’s another opportunity to show they remain one of the most consistent programs in the country and perhaps, get an early look at what kind of March potential this group holds.
And for fans? Sun, sand, and four marquee matchups streamed straight from Nassau. What more could you want?
Stay tuned as the countdown to tipoff begins and prepare for Purdue to make waves in the Bahamas.
