Trent Noah and Jasper Johnson Show Love to Teammate Malachi Moreno at KY/IN All-Star Game


 


On Friday night, Kentucky basketball fans witnessed a heartwarming display of unity and support as incoming Wildcats Trent Noah and Jasper Johnson cheered on their future teammate, Malachi Moreno, during the Kentucky-Indiana All-Star Game at Lexington Catholic High School. Moreno, a 7-foot center and Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball, delivered an impressive performance with 22 points, 14 rebounds, four blocks, and three steals, earning MVP honors despite Kentucky’s 98-89 loss.


Noah and Johnson’s presence at the game underscored the strong bond forming among Kentucky’s 2025 recruiting class. Trent Noah, a 6-foot-6 wing from Harlan County, concluded his high school career as Kentucky’s fifth all-time leading scorer with 3,707 points. Known for his elite shooting and physicality, Noah brings a gritty determination to the Wildcats, embodying the spirit of Eastern Kentucky basketball .


Jasper Johnson, a 6-foot-4 combo guard from Lexington, is a consensus top-20 recruit who recently signed with Kentucky. Having played at Woodford County High School and later at Overtime Elite, Johnson is recognized for his scoring prowess and playmaking abilities. His commitment to Kentucky signifies a homecoming and a continuation of the state’s rich basketball legacy .

The camaraderie displayed by Noah and Johnson at the All-Star Game reflects the new culture being cultivated under head coach Mark Pope.
