Make a claim Klopp will brutally drive ten Liverpool players out amid reports of an £88 million defensive rock.

Jurgen Klopp is apparently planning a thorough clearout of up to ten players from Anfield this summer, taking his rebuilding of the club to unprecedented heights

Since the German took over at Anfield in October 2015, the Reds have had practically uninterrupted success. They won the iconic trophy for the sixth time in 2019 after leading them to three Champions League finals. However, if Real Madrid had won the final twice, Klopp might have won the cup three times.

Liverpool was also on the verge of completing an unprecedented quadruple last season, but fell just a few games short. With the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, Klopp has pretty much won everything there is to win while on Merseyside.

This season, on the other hand, has been a whole different tale. A strange lethargy appears to have set in, prompting rumours that Klopp may be fired. As a result, Jamie Carragher weighed in on Klopp’s future amid mounting speculation that his position is in risk.

However, given the ten names being linked to the post, it’s simple to see why Liverpool should stick by their man.

To be honest, Liverpool needs to invest heavily in their team this summer.

There has been much written about their need to sign at least two new midfielders. And there appears to be a growing consensus that another problematic position on the side has to be overhauled as well.

In any case, there will almost certainly be some ins and outs this summer as Klopp crafts a route back to the peak.

Indeed, many players are out of contract at Anfield and will most likely go.

Liverpool is planning to let ten players leave this summer.

Naby Keita, the club’s £52.75 million transfer from RB Leipzig, is one example. On Tuesday, it was revealed that Keita is now under the cautious eye of a London-based club.

However, the changes to their playing staff may be far more broad than previously anticipated. As a result, the Daily Mirror has proposed ten individuals they feel will be shown the door this summer.

Free agents Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Keita, and veteran James Milner will head the list.

However, the source also indicates that Brazilian sensation Fabinho, who has fallen out of favor this season, will go this summer.

Arthur Melo, a failed loan signing from Juventus, and club star Roberto Firmino will both leave the club.

Firmino’s contract expires this summer, and talks for an extension have been ongoing for some time. However, it has now been determined that he is free to leave, with Klopp evidently determining that a clean split is in his best interests.

There will also be changes in defense, with Nat Phillips, who was on the verge of departing in January, and Joel Matip also going. Matip in particular has struggled recently and was exposed in Saturday’s defeat to Wolves.

Finally, two goalkeepers will be allowed to advance. Adrian has done well for Liverpool since joining as a free agent in 2019.

Caoimhin Kelleher, on the other hand, will go unexpectedly this summer. The Irishman has performed admirably when called upon, but he wants to play more often. He will be paid handsomely.

Liverpool is interested in signing Josko Gvardiol.
With so many players leaving, Liverpool will prioritize quality over quantity this summer.

Despite the fact that he will most certainly cost more than £100 million, Jude Bellingham remains their top midfield target.

The team, on the other hand, desires a second midfielder to complement him. To that end, Paul Joyce of The Times believes Wolves’ Matheus Nunes is high on Klopp’s wishlist.

If rumors are to be accepted, Klopp also wants to sign another top-level centre-half.

And, according to Calciomercato, Liverpool are strongly in the running to recruit Josko Gvardiol.

The RB Leipzig defender is only 21 years old, yet he is already considered as one of the world’s best center-halves.

After joining from Dinamo Zagreb in 2020, the Croatian is now valued at £88 million (€100 million). Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in his services.

However, if Real Madrid comes calling, the player appears to prefer signing with them.

However, there are concerns that Los Blancos would pay such a high amount for a defender. And Carlo Ancelotti’s side are likely to invest that kind of money on bringing in a new big-name attacker instead.

As a result, Calciomercato believes Liverpool is keen on bringing him to Anfield. Despite the high fee, Klopp is said to be willing to go to any length to lure the 19-times capped defender to Merseyside as a defensive partner for Virgil van Dijk.
