Oweh Speaks on His Decision

“The main thing for me is just finding the best situation. Obviously, my goal is to play in the NBA. If I go through this whole process and I’m getting great feedback and I can go all the way, then I’ll do that 100%,” he said.

“But either situation I’m in, it’s a great situation. I just gotta thank God for it. I’ve got a good situation back at Kentucky if I do choose to go back. Either way, I’m just thankful to be here.”

Oweh’s response has left the door wide open, but there’s no denying he’s carefully weighing his draft stock versus the opportunity to develop even further under Coach Pope’s system.

At 6-foot-5 with elite athleticism and defensive chops, Oweh turned heads during the 2024–25 season. He averaged double-digit points, showed flashes of elite two-way potential, and earned a reputation as one of Kentucky’s most versatile wing defenders.
