Withers began his collegiate basketball career at the University of Louisville, where he redshirted his first year and went on to earn All-ACC Freshman Team honors in the 2020–21 season. After three seasons with the Cardinals, he transferred to UNC in 2023, seeking new challenges and opportunities. Over two seasons with the Tar Heels, he contributed significantly on the court, averaging 6.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in the 2024–25 season .
Beyond his athletic contributions, Withers demonstrated a commitment to personal development and community service.
